Just north of Palm Springs are a set of  sand dumes in the dry river bed of the San Gorgino River.  After a monsoon rain, the mountains of sand are washed away to reveal a muddy 3 inch deep river.  After a couple of days of sunshine, the riverbed has dried into these giant cakes of mud.  Of course, upon finding these, you instruct the model to strip down and pose. as one does.
