Piano
I started piano when I was four. By college, I had to choose between piano and theatre—so I chose both, musical theatre. That decision still echoes through everything I make. These works began, as they often do, when the model didn’t show up. So I turned to my trusted friend—the piano. Not just as prop, but as muse. Each collage is built from over 200 photographs, layered like fugues, fractured like memory, and staged with the emotional logic of music. Every piece in this suite is playable. I’ve played them. I still do. Bach, Beethoven, Debussy, Puccini—reimagined in collage, not nostalgia. These are not portraits. Not performances. Just moments held in rhythm, geometry, and quiet rebellion.
