Earth

The Earth series is a choreography of contact. Across stone, water, and silence, these images trace the body’s descent into elemental memory. Each piece stages a gesture—reaching, resting, resisting—until the final movement, Crawling Out, meets the ground with nothing left to hold. This is not a journey upward. It’s a rehearsal of gravity, grief, and the quiet refusal to disappear.

While driving alone for an extended period, I began to reflect the direction of my photography. After exploring wind and water, it dawned on me that I was being guided along the path the Four Elements. To me, these elements symbolize the essence of existence, starkly contrasting with religion and the realm of fantasy. Next on my journey Earth! I traveled nationwide, capturing various locations and seasons—from deserts to oceans, and summer to winter. Earth, the most potent of the elements, can weigh you down and anchor you, yet it is the source of our homes and sustenance. Ultimately, Earth embodies the struggle of life, but it also offers the potential for happiness and contentment.
