Angel’s Prayer is a staged improvisation in the California desert, just north of Palm Springs near the wind farms off I-10. A figure stands wrapped in translucent fabric—white and rust—lifted by gusts that turn cloth into wings, veils, and votive flame. The pose is devotional, but not fixed. It’s a moment of surrender, movement, and myth.
This archival pigment print is part of Terry Hastings’ wind series, where unpredictability becomes collaborator. Hastings is an internationally represented multidisciplinary artist with exhibitions in Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, and deep ties to the Palm Springs Art Museum and Artists Council. His work blends desert minimalism with queer allegory, often letting dancers, models, and wind shape the final image
