Phenomenon Observed: Five figures ascend the dune in silent procession, each trailing a ribbon of wind-borne fabric—yellow, green, red, blue, and violet. The colors do not clash; they converse. The wind, unusually cooperative, lifts each veil in synchronized arcs, creating a spectrum that hovers just above the sand. The sky, a clear blue canvas, offers no commentary but frames the event with reverence.
Notes from the Field: This was not a walk—it was a weather system. Each color carried a mood. Each figure, a forecast. Together, they formed a front of emotional pressure, sweeping across the dunes with grace and intention.
This is the first photo Terry ever sold. Less than six months after moving to Palm Springs, Terry gathered up his boys and took them out enmasse to his sand dunes just north of Palm Springs. You know its early in Terry's working time at the sand dunes, because the fabric is so short. Things would become far more dramatic after this shoot.
