The Desert Ember Platter is one of those pieces that feels like it rose straight out of the canyon floor. The form is organic and alive, with an undulating rim that moves like heat shimmer. The deep red glaze pools and shifts across the surface, catching the sun in a way that feels almost molten — a little wild, a little ancient.
This platter leans fully into the sculptural side of my practice. It’s less about function and more about presence: a piece that feels discovered rather than made, like a relic shaped by time, weather, and geology. The thin glaze lets the clay body breathe through the color, giving it that soft, time‑worn depth I’m always chasing.
It’s a tactile, expressive desert artifact — bold, warm, and unmistakably alive.Works shown are available for local pickup only. Please inquire for current availability.
