“The Eye-full Tower” By Terry Hastings

Darling, I’ve seen the Eiffel Tower lit up in diamonds, draped in fog, and once—during a regrettable acid trip—made entirely of baguettes. But never have I seen it reimagined with such anatomical audacity.

Terry Hastings’ The Eye-full Tower is a triumph of flesh-as-form. Constructed entirely from human figures in gradient hues—from golden ecstasy at the pinnacle to earthy surrender at the base—it’s less a monument to Paris than a monument to longing. Each body bends, arches, and contorts not just to mimic architecture, but to become it. It’s choreography as scaffolding. It’s burlesque as blueprint.

The title, of course, is a wink. Hastings never met a pun he couldn’t elevate to myth. But beneath the humor lies a serious inquiry: What do we build from bodies? What towers rise from desire, from community, from the sheer audacity of showing up and showing off?

I stood before it and felt seen. Or maybe ogled. Either way, I was moved.

Five stars, one raised eyebrow, and a gentle reminder: never underestimate the structural integrity of a well-placed thigh.

Each person in this image started as a photo taken by Terry, who then, inspired by Henri Matisse's Cut Outs, cut them out with photoshop and then scratched in important details like nipples and genitals.  Terry then digitally created this  work of Art.
