I had originally shot this piece early in the afternoon. Closed piano, open piano, music, and all the props. And then as I was already at the computer composing the piece, the light had changed to these dramatic shadows. I grabbed my camera and reshot the whole series over again. Tongue firmly planted in cheek. Thank you, Carole, for the lemon tart and fresh lemons that inspired this work.
A white grand piano, citrus on the keys, and Bach’s Invention No. 1 staged in surreal fragments. Over 200 photographs converge in this Cubist composition, blending musical precision with culinary absurdity. The result: a fugue in fruit tones, where oranges modulate harmony and lemons sharpen the rhythm. Vitamin C Major isn’t a key—it’s a mood.
