The fifth plate in the series turns fully toward the forest — a vertical plein‑air study capturing the quiet structure of woodland light. The lower band settles into a cracked, earthen texture, warm and rooted, like soil pressed beneath a stand of trees. Rising above it, a smooth yellow‑green field becomes the glow of filtered sunlight, the kind that slips through leaves and softens everything it touches.
To the left, carved leaf‑forms emerge from the surface, a suggestion of branches reaching into the frame. To the right, a darker, bark‑textured column anchors the composition, reading unmistakably as trunk — the vertical spine of the tree. Together, these elements form a distilled woodland moment: sylvestre, of the forest, a quiet immersion in green light and living structure.
