Excerpt from Paul Wagner’s Promotional Interview – recorded for the regional radio spot “Apple Alert!”
(Cue evil laugh, thinly veiled as a chuckle.)
“Well, you know, River Valley Orchard’s been part of the community for decades. Lovely folks. Lovely views. If you enjoy driving uphill for produce.
But below that windswept bluff, we’ve got something brewing. Our brand-new Wagner's Candy Castle & Apple Barn—twenty-five thousand square feet of sugar-coated glory. Giant caramel vats. Tractor rides that don’t pretend to be ironic. And we’re right off Highway 169. No hill, no detour, no existential reflection required.
I respect Hastings and his... minimalist orchard. But we’re offering something bigger. Brighter. Sweeter. Our apples don’t come with a thesis. They come with sprinkles.
You want scenic? We have a mural that glows in the dark. You want nostalgia? We’ve got an animatronic Grandma who sings about Granny Smiths.
And we'll be baking fresh apple pies all of Labor Day weekend. Hope folks pack their hill shoes if they’re heading to River Valley—mine just needs an appetite.”

For this series only, I’m offering a very limited edition of five enhanced serigraphs. Each piece is printed on canvas, then hand-signed with painted detail and set in a custom floating frame—0.7" wide and 1.8" deep. You can choose from six frame finishes: black, white, silver, gold, espresso, or maple. These editions are available in two sizes: 16×24 and 32×48. The work is meticulously printed with archival inks and paper and then framed to order. Please allow 5 - 7 days for production and shipping.
