A monumental satire disguised as sculpture, Emoji No. 1 reimagines the classic Marilyn statue through the lens of social media, misguided heroism, and institutional vanity. Featuring the Tousled Triplets — over-coifed, under-baked, and gloriously unqualified — locked in battle with a giant blue thumbs-up, this piece skewers our obsession with approval, spectacle, and performative consensus.
Presented by the Museum of Public Taste, this new acquisition invites viewers to confront the absurdity of modern icons: superheroes who strike poses instead of solving problems, institutions that reward popularity over substance, and a public that confuses likes with legacy.
The works available are 12x18 print in a 16x20 white matt. Also, 16x24, 24x36 and 32x48 print only for those that want a bigger splash! Please ask for other sizes available!
