A quiet geometry drifts across the frame, each shape hinting at a shelter, a ridge, or a moment of rest. “Camping Trip” plays with the way imagination reshapes the landscape — how a simple rock formation can become a gathering of sleepers, a cluster of tents, or an entire world settling in for the night.
The translucent planes feel like makeshift structures, softened by warm desert light. Spheres nestle into the forms like heads on pillows, or like moons resting on the horizon. Nothing is literal, yet everything feels familiar — the way a child might look at a pile of boulders and see a whole campground of giants tucked in for the evening.
This piece holds that sense of wonder without explaining it.
Is this a memory of a camping trip, or a glimpse of someone else’s?
A landscape, or a gathering?
A dream, or a story hidden in stone?
“Camping Trip” leaves the answer open, inviting the viewer to find their own version of the scene.

There’s a quiet blend of sensibilities running through Camping Trip. The dream‑stillness and simplified forms carry a whisper of Rousseau — that feeling of stepping into a world that’s both real and gently enchanted. The surreal scale shifts and the suspended, desert‑timeless atmosphere nod toward Dalí, not in imagery but in the way the ordinary becomes mythic. And the sculpted calm of the shapes, the sense of a landscape with personality and presence, echoes Grant Wood’s stylized Americana.
None of these influences dominate. They simply hover in the background, the way memories of paintings linger in the mind. Camping Trip folds those sensibilities together and filters them through a child’s moment of wonder — the instant when a pile of rocks becomes a whole campground of sleeping giants.
