A body becomes a banquet. Charcuterie is part of Terry Hastings’ “I’m Hungry” series, where food meets flesh in compositions that blend absurdity, elegance, and visual excess. Cured meats, cheeses, grapes, apricots, almonds, crackers, and asparagus are plated with precision across a reclining torso—complete with cheese knives and herb sprigs, as if the body itself were hosting the feast.

This isn’t just indulgence—it’s staging. Hastings turns the classic grazing board into a surreal still life, where appetite becomes architecture and nudity becomes nourishment. Charcuterie invites viewers to laugh, linger, and savor the absurd elegance of a setup that’s both decadent and deadpan.
