Foggy Drive began on an empty stretch of road between Tucson and Palm Springs — the long shortcut through the Salton Sea Basin where the landscape usually opens wide and endless. But on this trip, everything changed in an instant. I turned a corner and was hit with floor‑to‑ceiling fog, the kind that swallows the world whole. The desert vanished. The horizon disappeared. All that remained were silhouettes: cows, fence lines, the faint geometry of fields dissolving into white.
This artwork captures that surreal moment when the familiar becomes ghostlike. Soft gradients replace hard edges, and the land feels suspended between presence and memory. Shapes emerge only as suggestions — a quiet herd, a distant road, the faint outline of mountains hiding behind the veil.

Each piece is printed on canvas, then hand-signed with painted detail and set in a custom floating frame—0.7" wide and 1.8" deep.
