The third plate in the series leans into heat — a plein‑air landscape distilled into three elemental bands, each carrying the warmth of a desert afternoon. The lower band is a deep, ridged earth tone, grounded and tactile, like sun‑struck soil holding the day’s last light. Above it, a darker, fibrous middle band rises like a shadowed mountain ridge, a compressed horizon dividing land from sky.

The upper band is the saffron sky: a smooth, golden‑yellow field that glows with the color of late‑day sun, the moment when everything turns warm and honeyed. It’s a sky that feels both luminous and quiet, a soft burn of color settling over the landscape.

This piece reads like a heat‑study — a landscape caught at the warmest point of the day, rendered in three strokes of clay.
