This is where the journey pauses—not in surrender, but in suspension. The figure stands still in a surreal desert wash of red sky and ochre earth, flanked by two cacti: one green, one yellow. Behind them, a massive plateau rises like a memory too large to scale. The body is simplified, stylized, but the emotion is not. This is the moment after Unwelcomed, after Expectations, after the question of Return—and the answer is silence.

In Plateau, the landscape no longer resists or receives. It simply is. The figure, once searching or bracing, now waits—not for permission, but for clarity. The cacti no longer judge; they witness. The plateau looms not as obstacle, but as presence. And the sky, burning red, suggests that something has shifted—internally, cosmically, or both.
