One man, many selves, and a backyard transformed into a stage of unraveling. Self-Curation captures a surreal moment of undress and multiplicity—shirts, pants, and shoes flying midair as the figure moves through space, fragmented and reassembled. The gazebo stands still; the man does not. He’s not being curated—he’s curating himself.
This is queer choreography with a wink: aging, nudity, and self-authorship rendered in motion blur and backyard drama. Terry Hastings turns a private ritual into public spectacle, where every tossed garment is a gesture of control, defiance, and radical presence.
