Hollow Trunk is a small forest relic rendered in clay — a 4‑inch‑tall vessel shaped like a weathered section of tree trunk, its bark texture carved and eroded to feel lifted straight from the woods. At 5 inches deep and 6 inches wide, it has the presence of a natural column, with an interior cavity that invites a succulent or small plant to root into its “hollowed” core. The surface carries the irregularities, ridges, and softened edges of aged timber, giving the piece a quiet, organic gravity. It reads like something found rather than made — a fragment of woodland memory reimagined as a planter.
