The Petrified Planter rises like a fossilized sapling — a vessel caught mid‑transformation between clay and stone. Its jagged rim and striated body echo the mineral veins of the Petrified Forest, where growth and decay have merged into permanence. The glaze shifts from bronze to blue‑green, recalling oxidized copper and desert twilight, while the base flares outward like the root plate of a long‑extinct tree.

This piece belongs to the Desert Relic Series, exploring the tension between organic form and geological time. It functions as both planter and sculpture — a reliquary for living roots or a standalone artifact of arrested motion.

This piece reimagines everyday objects as artifacts of endurance. It invites viewers to see the kitchen not as workspace but as altar, where ritual and design converge.
